The Five Heartbeats     (video and CD soundtrack)

Billy overdubbed the singing voice of "Eddie King, Jr." (the lead vocalist character played by actor Michael Wright) in Robert Townsend's The Five Heartbeats, a 1991 movie about a fictional 5-man vocal group in the 1960s.

CD and Video

On the audio CD soundtrack, Billy sings the lead vocals on 2 tracks and accompanies Patti LaBelle on a 3rd track. (In the actual movie soundtrack, his voice can be heard on portions of 5 songs.)

Though not available from this website, the CD soundtrack and the movie (on DVD) can be purchased on amazon.com or other outlets selling CDs and DVDs.
